First Aid at Work Requalification


This training includes Emergency First Aid at Work and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses.


2 days (minimum of 12 hours)

Anyone wishing to renew their current First Aid at Work certificate


Candidates must hold a First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work Refresher certificate which is no more than 3 months in date or 28 days out of date


To provide knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

  • Roles and responsibilities of employers and employee
  • Priorities of First Aid
  • Managing an incident
  • Care of an unconscious casualty
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED
  • Disorders of the airway
  • Dealing with bleed and shock
  • Causes of unconsciousness
  • Burns & scalds
  • Injuries to bones ligaments & joints
  • Poisoning
  • Recognition and management of major illnesses and appropriate action
  • Miscellaneous injuries
  • Epi-Pen use
  • Record keeping and accident reporting
  • Infection control
  • Communication and delegation in an emergency
  • Manage the transportation of a casualty
