Streetworks Practical Area

A practical training area, simulating real life environments

Our Streetworks area replicates a public footway, which incorporates areas of bituminous surfacing (Flexible), flags and block paving (Modular) and concrete (Rigid). We also have section of Type 4 flexible carriageway.

There is a range of street furniture installed along with numerous buried utilities. This creates a safe yet realistic work environment where candidates are assessed in signing lighting and guarding, cable and utility avoidance techniques, excavating safely, backfill operations and reinstatement of the surfacing materials.

As an approved NRSWA assessment centre, we can tailor courses to suit individual candidate requirements.

We offer a range of units from 001 – 016, ensuring that all training requirements are met successfully.
