General Manager (£45K-£50K plus bonus)

An exciting opportunity to join Expedient Training and lead the business to increase revenue and profitability.

Replacing the current Managing Director Role (due to retirement) the role will be to implement a new business plan and manage the changes throughout the organisation.

Expedient have entered new markets and are looking for a bright, ambitious, and skilled individual that can lead the business into the next chapter.

The role

It is important that this individual can lead teams rather than to ‘manage’ ensuring that the business is on track to meet its objectives and targets within the business plan.

Reporting direct into the shareholders of the business, the role will be to energise and drive forward a recently restructured team.

This will include

  • Adopting the business plan and ensuring that it is implemented throughout
  • To lead the three key teams (Training and Compliance, Finance and Sales and Marketing) to ensure they are meeting their KPIs
  • Management review and reporting into the Shareholders
  • Manage change throughout the business to enable growth within new sectors
  • Leading operations throughout the organisation
  • Ensuring professional development is continued and maintained across the team
  • Evaluation of performance and productivity
  • Identify and growing strategic partnerships and relationships
  • Evaluating financial data and ensuring the business is on track to meet its overall objectives.

The person

We are looking for a hardworking, passionate, and positive professionals that can bring great energy to the business. They will be responsible for driving the strategy of the business forward and implementing changes where needed to ensure the success of the business.

The individuals will need to have demonstrated experiences in previous roles, educated to a National Level 7 within a business-related qualification.

Ideally the successful candidate will have a training background or if not, business services (e.g., consultancy, recruitment).

It is vital that the individual comes with good references and has been able to demonstrate a positive impact within a previous role.

Qualifications and experience

  • Level 7 within a relevant qualification
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a senior role
  • Can demonstrate a positive impact on the business
  • A background within training or business services
