Virtual EUSR Cards

From February 2022, EUSR registration will be issued as a ‘virtual card’.

Rather than waiting weeks for your card to be issued, upon completion of your registration individuals will be sent a text to an app (Android or iPhone) to download and access the card.

What this means for you

When asked to produce your card you will open your app and the checker at the site can look this up. This can be done with or without internet access.

If you are an existing card holder keep your existing card and you will be transitioned onto the virtual card later in the year.

The benefits

• More convenient – no need to carry lots of plastic cards around
• Most people never forget their phone! Even if you do, the checker will have access to a database to look up your registration.
• A much more environmentally friendly way and reducing plastic
• You get access to your ‘Card’ quicker
