Facilities
Expedient’s Quay Corner Training Centre is unique within the North East of England with an array of purpose built outdoor training facilities covering the range of construction, utilities and plant training.
Our site extends over 1.5 acres and has additional off street car parking for 50 vehicles. The office and classroom facilities cover 300 square metres and has 4 training rooms, (accommodating up to 48 candidates), workshop and canteen facilities.
The training facilities include:-
1. A Deep Excavation Pit 8.5 x 2.5 metres with a maximum depth of 2.5 metres.
2. An Array of Trenches utilised for the construction, laying and testing of gas, water, cable, drainage and associated house connections.
3. The Streetworks Training Area consists of a 2m x 20m area constructed as a standard footway surfaced with concrete, flagstones, setts and macadam to allow the assessment of candidates undertaking the relevant complexes associated with this qualification.
4. A CPCS accredited Plant Training and assessment area.
5. A Confined Spaces Complex facility that simulates a variety of situations and environments that may occur in confined space operations. www.theconfinedspace.co.uk
6. A FireFighting area.
7. Assessment Facilities for FLT, MEWPS and Scaffolding training.
