Module 4: Routine Operation (RO) Renewal

Suitable For

All gas industry personnel involved in operational works on the Gas Networks and certain types of Meter Installations including, but not strictly limited to, individuals who are or will become:

Named Authorising Engineers or Named Competent Persons.

Aims

• On completion of the course, individuals should be able to:
• State the purpose of a Routine Operation (RO) and when this type of control may be used
• State the process, roles and responsibilities of those involved with an RO
• Identify the key information requirements of an RO
• Recognise the importance of risk assessment to an RO
• Identify specific RO requirements for AE authorisation, conflict checking, clearance to proceed, handovers, briefings, preliminaries, execution of works, deviations, permits to work and completion

Prerequisites

• n order to renew their registration on EUSR using SCO Renewal, individuals must have a relevant, in-date, SCO registration.
  
  SCO 1 and 2, SCO 5, plus GL/6 Update or SCO Core, SCO PtW and SCO RO.
  
  Candidates must inform us prior to attending, if they are 'Named Authorising Engineers' or 'Named Competent Persons'.
