Under the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) we are a lead provider for the Skills Funding Agency with a substantial contract. Expedient heads a consortium with two partner companies; KT Associates, who provide primarily business administration and health & social care and Laccatt who provide health and social care QCFs. The venture, under the title Every Kind of Learning (EKL) enables us to offer many QCFs including the following:

Overview

Mandatory (All 8 units must be completed)
Assist in:
Unit 1: Locating and avoiding supply apparatus and substructures
Unit 3: Preparing for reinstatement of excavation and pavement surfaces
Working under supervision:
Unit 2: Excavate holes and trenches in ground and pavement structures
Unit 4: Contribute to an efficient and effective work environment
Unit 5: Contribute to health, safety and environment in the workplace
Unit 6: Operate powered tools and equipment for routine and predictable
requirements during gas network operations
Unit 7: Join materials by manually controlled thermal processes
Unit 8: Assemble components to meet specification
OPTIONAL (1 unit must be completed)
Assist in:
Unit 9: Preparing resources and segregating the area for Highways works
Unit 10: Preparing resources and segregating the area for Site works

Aims

To equip a candidate with the skills and knowledge to allow them to work safely on gas distribution networks, assisting other personnel who hold the GNO level 2 and 3 qualification.
